This year was full of challenges for actor Monica Chaudhary, who struggled to form a strong foothold in the industry. The actor, who is debuting in the ALT Balaji web series Apharan, says that she learnt a lot. “2018, personally, was very tough as it was the first time I left my family and came to Mumbai from Delhi. I had to find a house here and live with flatmates. I have changed 4 houses since April. I did not even know how to cook food and how to be on a budget and buy groceries for myself. So, it was a new learning. It was tough. But professionally it was amazing. Jogi Malang, who is a big casting director called me to wish me last year on New Year and I knew that day itself that this year is going to give me good things. I got my first break, my ad went viral and then now I am getting such a good response for Apharan. So, many good things came my way as well,” she says.
